Contents / Menu types created by the programDHTML Menu Studio can create the following types of menus:
- Horizontal or Vertical -- the top level menu bar can be horizontally or vertially oriented
- Text or image-based -- the menus can be created using regular HTML code or the program can create very attractive menus with image backgrounds (there are lots of predefined designs included with the program); an additional advantage is that such menus can use rare fonts (with or without anti-alias effect) which may not be available on visitor's computer; both menu types allow using the roll-over effect
- Static or dynamic structure -- with DHTML Menu Studio you can define the menu structure statically -- inside program's user interface, or dynamically (professional edition only) -- using server-side script code such as PHP or ASP; in such case you can pull the structure from a database and populate the menu accordingly
- Frameless or frame-based -- you can easily embed the menu into your existing frame structure (where the popups would appear in a different frame)
- Fixed position or floating -- the menus can be embedded statically into your web page or they can be floating, always staying on top of the browser window even when the user is scrolling down the document.
- Simple or with special effects -- the menus can use a number of special effects available in the latest browsers (older browsers will simply not use these effects), such as partial transparency, shadow, glow effect, scrolling of pop-up menu items when they don't fit on the screen
- Using pop-ups for submenus or variable-height -- you can choose to show submenus within the top-level menu. Using this style, whenever an item is expanded, the submenu appears below the parent item, and subsequent items are shifted down.
