In the beginning we will create a new site that we will be developing in the tutorial.

After you start Macromedia Dreamweaver choose Site > Manage Sites... from the main menu. Click New... and choose Site. This will bring up Site Definition dialog. Select Basic tab.

As your site name you can type, for example, Sample Site With Menu. For this step and the two following steps click Next button accepting default values.

When you get to Sharing Files options choose Local/Network from How do you connect to your remote server? drop-down menu and specify the site output folder in the next field - for example c:\mysamplesite\

Click Next for all the remaining steps and Done to finish the wizard and close the Manage Sites dialog.
