Messages are not deleted from my Gmail inbox. How do I change that?
 
There are two modes in which Gmails allows a third-party application to download mail:
  1. Log into your Gmail account using your web browser.
  2. Click "Settings" (top-right corner).
  3. Click "Forwarding and POP/IMAP".
Now you have two choices:
  1. "Enable POP for all mail" - after you turn it on for the first time this makes all messages in the inbox available to FollowUpExpert. The side effect is that with this mode, FollowUpExpert may be set up to delete messages from the Gmail inbox.
  2. "Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on" - FollowUpExpert will see only those emails that arrive from now on (i.e. emails that arrive since the Gmail POP3 is enabled). There is no way to delete messages from Gmail inbox in this mode.
IMPORTANT: Choosing option (2) means that regardless of the way you set up FollowUpExpert (with "Leave messages on the server" option on or off) it will keep insisting that there are no messages to delete. This behaviour is correct and is caused by the way Gmail works in this mode.
