While your autoresponders are working fine, you may feel no urge to sit down and watch them download new messages, process them, send replies and follow-up messages, and so on. It is only during initial configuration and when something goes wrong that most of the users appreciate the ability to view the real-time log of events that occur during the program’s activity and see the full history of these events.

Also, when something bad happens to your machine, or if you make some changes to the configuration that prove to be not that smart after all, the feature that may save your day is the ability to backup and restore your mailing lists and their configuration.
