Monitoring Program Activity

Previous Topic  Next Topic

You can monitor what is going on using the “Status” panel of the main window:

Status 4

Incoming Mail

This tab shows recently downloaded messages along with actions they triggered (people who were added to the database, replies added to the outgoing mail queue and so on).

Outgoing Mail

Using this tab you can see a list of mailings that are being delivered by the system as well as past mailings. Apart from the mailing type & subject of a message, you can view the following information:

"Total Recipients" -  the number of the recipients,
"Sent" - the number of recipients who were successfully sent to,
"Failed" - the number of recipients that the program has given up sending to,
"Will retry" - the number of recipients that the program had problems sending to but will retry later,
"Progress" - the visual indication of progress of delivery,
"Status" - either "Active" or "Paused" along with the button that lets you pause delivery of the particular mailing.

You can control sending by selecting one or more mailings and using the right mouse button to bring up the context menu. You can carry out the following operations on the selected mailings:

"Start" - resume delivery of paused mailings,
"Pause" - pause delivery,
"Delete" - delete the mailings along with all the recipients,
"Retry unsent" - retry sending to recipients program gave up sending to and ones that would have been retried later,
"Retry failed" - retry sending to recipients that program gave up sending to.

IMPORTANT: After you pause a mailing, it may continue to send out messages for a few minutes before stopping. This is a feature as there is no way to stop messages that are already on they way out of the program.

Event Log

This tab shows everything that is going on inside the program. It's useful to get detailed information or when debugging problems.

To view the log in a separate window or to see the full log: click the "Options" toolbar button, click the "Other" tab, and click "View Log".This is the window that appears after you click the button.

Event Viewer 1

The window updates automatically when new events are logged. To see all past events, you can click “Show All”.

You can use this window to save the event log to a text file on your hard disk. This is useful if you have a question to our technical support and they ask you if they can please take a look at the log. To save the log click the “Save As” button .

Use the “Clear” button , to remove all contents of the log file. Use this function carefully.
