Quick Start: Parsing Messages Sent to Autoresponder

Top  Previous  Next

This is where the "Form/Parsing" button is located on the “Reply” tab of an autoresponder:

Click the “Form/Parsing” button. You now need to repeat these steps for every field you want to parse:

1.Click “Add” to create a new parsing rule.

2.Type the name of the form field in the "Starts with" text box. It is case sensitive so you must enter the name of the field exactly as it appears in the message sent by the form (without ":").

3.If the field you want to parse contains the sender's email address, pick "Email" using the "Save as" drop-down list. If the form field contains the sender's name, pick “Name”.

You can also type an arbitrary name in the “Save as” text box. If you do this, you will be able to use the extracted content in messages sent in response to the opt-out request using the $(...) syntax.
