Create a simple autoresponder if you need an “answering machine” for your email account; a phone answering machine answers incoming calls while a simple autoresponder responds to emails that people send to you.
An example of this kind of autoresponder is the one that replies to all emails sent to you with a message that says: “I am out of office right now” or "I'm on vacation". Another example is a special email address your website visitors can send a blank message to and receive a special report or additional information related to your product or service.
A simple autoresponder is not limited to answering emails sent by real people; it can be linked to a web form on your website. For instance, you can create a form anyone can fill out to request additional information about your product or service.
As you can see all these examples have one thing in common; a simple autoresponder works by sending one-time replies to incoming emails. While it can store email addresses of people who contact you it has no way to automatically send delayed follow-up messages.
