Opt-in doesn't work. What can I do?

Please make sure that messages sent by the web form are indeed downloaded by the program (I have tested it and they don't appear to be). In order to do that please do this:

1. Click the "Incoming Mail" tab on the "Status" panel.
2. Submit the web form.
3. Click "Send/Receive" and watch the program download the new messages (if any).

Repeat step 3 for a couple of minutes if needed. Watch out for a mention of the message subject ("New Email Update Subscriber from Your Website!").

If the message does not arrive there may be three reasons for this:

1. Another program downloads the message before FollowUpExpert (e.g. your email client if it's running at the time you are following the above steps).

In that case try turning off the email client and repeat steps 1-3. If you succeed this time, you need to set up your email client to leave messages on the POP3 account (please refer to the program's Help).

2. The web form is sending the message containing the submission results to a different email address than the one FollowUpExpert is downloading messages from. If you have written the script please make sure the email address is correct. If you are not the author of the form please consult your web administrator.

3. Your web server has internal problems and the web form is not sending anything at all. Please contact your web administrator.
