fixed item width refuses to work

Try as I may, I can not get the vertical menu that I created to the width I need. I have used the menu properties with multiple variations and still the menu stays the same width. If I attemt to enlarge it manually by pulling on the objects I can't get at the underlying graphics and can only adjust table size and top jpgs. I am using Windows Xp and Expression Web2. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,

This actually depends on the menu design that you are using. For bitmap designs the menu size is locked inside the images. In this case the vertical menu, depending on an item's text width, can change its height but not width. For non-bitmap designs you can adjust both width and height.
