Sitemap Assistant Can't create sitemap for local files

Hi,

I am trying to scan files locally and generate a Google XML sitemap. The local folder contains everything that we have on our site and I thought that is is much quicker if I scan the files locally and create the sitemap. I already used the software to scan our live site and there were no problem encoutereh however with the local scan after going through all the process in the sitemap assistant not the Layout Wizard and it shows me this message:

"Error generating output files: Site map contains no items. Either re-run Layout Wizard (or Assistant) or ad manually items in the Layout View"

What is this message for? what seems to be the problem why this message appears? Here is the information on the software and PC used.

SiteXpert Version: 9.0.3 Professional Edition.
OS: Windows XP SP2
