List all indexed documents

Postby jshuusko on Thu Feb 07, 2008 9:28 am

Is there a way to list/export or search for all indexed files? I've tried * and ? in generated search engine, but still some some of the documents are missing from the list.

I need to export the list for a database compare so the Indexed documents view from studio window won't do.

Anyway, this is a great search engine. I've been looking for something like this for a long time, but came across this only last week.

Actually, there is no easy way to do this at the moment but this doesn't seem to be a difficult option to be implemented in SES so we will do it soon.

Sebastian (or any other Xtreeme staff), has this been implemented at all? I have a need to list all the indexed documents and I can't find a solution on this board or in help save for this thread.

Hi David,

I don't think this was implemented in the end. If you need a full document list exportable to e.g. Excel, why don't you use our product SiteXpert? It's now 100% free and it has an export to excel function (via XML sitemap style). It will work in a similar way to Search Engine Studio in the way that it can index your site through http or local/network disk.

Actually Rafael, all I need is to be able to do a find for ALL the documents in the search. I don't need to export to anything.

David,

You can try changing the following option: search engine / search engine limits / max result count. This will increase the maximum number of results displayed to a value given by you.

Thanks Rafael, but what I'm looking for is a means for SES to return a list of every single file in the database, as if one was performing a search for "*".
