| Email Service Properties, Mail Servers tab |
Here's how the Mail Servers tab of the Email Service Properties dialog box looks like:

Use this page to configure how your messages are downloaded and sent. In the Incoming mail section, enter the POP3 server address and login and password to your POP3 account.
Mark the check box labeled Enable inbox folder sharing if you want two or more email services that are using the same POP3 account (i.e. their POP3 server address and login are the same) to share the incoming mail folder. If this option is off, email messages are downloaded separately by each email service that uses the POP3 account resulting in increased network traffic. Plus, if one of the services removes a message from the POP3 server, all services that check the account after that service won't downloaded the removed email message. If this option is on, all messages will be downloaded only once and processed by all mailing lists but since MailXpert keeps a database for downloaded messages and there is one database per each inbox folder, inbox sharing may result in some messages not being available if you create a new service sharing an account after another one that has been running for some time. Generally, using the same POP3 account for multiple email services is not recommended. Each service should use its own POP3 account.
Use the Outgoing mail section to configure delivery of your email messages. You can send your messages either through an external or the built-in SMTP server.
To use an external SMTP server click Send through an SMTP server and enter the address of the server.
In case the SMTP server requires authorization, mark the check box labeled My server requires me to log in and click on the Settings button to enter the login (account name) and password for the SMTP server on the Outgoing Mail Server dialog box. Mark the Authenticate by connecting to POP3 server check box if you want MailXpert to connect to the POP3 server before sending messages using the SMTP server. Some ISPs use this form of authentication.
To use the built-in SMTP server click Deliver messages directly to recipients and type-in the address of the DNS server to be used for delivery. Click Detect to have MailXpert try to detect the DNS server automatically.
If you are using the Professional Edition you can click Advanced to enter the number of simultaneous connections to use while sending the messages.
