How can I include an ad or a sponsor link in all messages and edit it in one place?

You can define a custom field containing your sponsor link or ad and insert it into all messages you want to display the ad. This way you can edit the ad in one-place and the changes will apply to all messages (Professional Edition only).

Here is how you can do it:

  1. Double-click the icon representing the email service.
  2. Go to "Custom Fields" tab.
  3. Click "Add".
  4. Enter the name of your add, e.g. "Ad" (w/o quotation marks).
  5. Type in or paste the contents of the ad. If it contains HTML, mark "Value contains HTML tags".
  6. Click "OK".

Note: if you are using HTML in the ad, you must use HTML in the messages as well. Otherwise, the ad will be converted to plain text.)

Now, in your messages you can insert the ad anywhere in your messages by typing:

$(Ad)

Whenever you change the contents of the field, the new version will be used in all messages.

Obviously, you can have as many ads, sponsor links etc. as you like.
