Question ID: Q2010
Question: Why do I get an error message 'Cannot open database files'?
Product: Search Engine Studio

By default, the search script expects the database files (files generated by the program with the .sdb extension) to be located in the same directory as the script. You also need to make sure that the script has proper access (read) permissions in order to open these files.

Please note that the usage of the 'pref' parameter passed to the search script tells the script to use a different set of database files (e.g. when pref='abc_', the database files abc_dbXX.sdb will be used instead of the default names dbXX.sdb). In such case you have to make sure that your .sdb files have the proper prefix in their name.
