Question ID: Q2026
Question: When the search query contains single-letter words (e.g. part numbers such as X-123), the results don't come up correctly.
Product: Search Engine Studio

By default single-letter words (or numbers) are ignored and when the users searches for e.g. "Part 2", the word "2" in the search query is ignored so all documents containing "part" will be returned resulting in a too big result set.

To change this, go to options / search engine / search engine limits / min. keyword length and change the value to 1. Now, you will need to re-index all documents and re-generate the search. Failing to re-index or re-generate will not update the search engine.
