Introduction

SiteXpert is the leading site map generator. The standard edition comes with a free license of DHTML Menu Studio -- a DHTML menu creator. The professional edition additionally comes with a free license of Search Engine Studio (for a full list of differences between the two editions go here).

You may use SiteXpert to create thirteen different site map styles including an index page style. Additionally SiteXpert allows you to define your own styles using XSL. Site map layout and appearance (fonts, colors, bitmaps) are fully customizeable. You may embed a site map into an existing web page or have SiteXpert update your site map automatically. SiteXpert generates HTML and Dynamic HTML code (with or without frames) that is compatible with all browsers.

SiteXpert has a tool called Layout Wizard that automatically scans your web site for documents. The program offers three different approaches:

Navigation mode - This mode will resemble the navigational structure of your site. You will be asked to select a base HTML file. Layout Wizard will scan this file (and then recursively all the linked files) for links and build a default layout based on the structure of the links found during the search.

File structure mode (works only with a local copy of a website) - In this mode the default layout will be identical to the file and directory structure of the site.

XML mode - In this mode the default layout will be imported from an XML file

Professional edition of SiteXpert includes another powerful tool -- Web Site Navigation Manager -- which automates creation af advanced navigation schemes.
It is especially helpful when you want to:

Insert more than one output object into a web page.
Insert an output object into multiple web pages.
Insert an output object into existing web page (or multiple web pages).
Insert, modify, or remove custom HTML code from existing web pages
Perform a combination of all of the above functions (e.g. insert multiple output objects into multiple web pages).

Web Site Navigation Manager also features scheduled generation. This allows for periodical, fully automated creation of navigation schemes.
