Question:
What are the differences between Standard and Professional edition and license types (Web license, Intranet license, CDROM license)?

You can find out about the detailed differences between standard and professional editions here. In short, the Professional edition offers XML support (import&export), automatic updates of sitemaps, accelerated crawler, support for huge sitemap structures, support for server-side creation of menu&sitemap structures, and additional software: Web Site Navigation Manager for management of multiple output objects and Search Engine Studio -- a search engine creator (value of $99.00).
There are three license types of SiteXpert:
  • Web License - With this license you can create unlimited number of output documents (e.g. site maps, menus) which will be used on a public Internet web site. You may not distribute these output documents on Intranets or other media such as CDROMs/DVDs.
  • Intranet License - With this license you can create unlimited number of output documents which will be used on an Internet or Intranet web site. You may not distribute these output documents on other media such as CDROMs/DVDs.
  • CDROM License - With this license you can create unlimited output documents which will be distributed by any means, including CDROMs/DVDs
