What is Beta Testing?
What we do during beta testing is to expose a new product to a large number of people that will test it on real hardware under real conditions (as opposed to artificial conditions created during the in-house alpha testing).
Beta testing is not a way to get free software long-term, because the software expires after the testing period. In case of WebsMill the software will stay functional till March 1, 2003.
Here is what you do gain if you participate:
How does it work?
This is not evaluation. This is beta testing. We pretty much guarantee that the software you will download will be buggy. It may crash, it may produce invalid output, or worse. Please understand, that we have made our best to get rid of as many bugs as we could but there bound to be some that we have missed. We will do our best, too, to fix all bugs that are reported to us but there is little we can do about those that are not reported.
After beta period ends we will send you one email asking for feedback. Second email you may receive will contain a registration key to the full version of the product.
The software you receive is not of release quality and should not be evaluated on those terms. The software is may not be distributed; if you know another person or group of people who are interested in participating in the beta test, please point them to this page.
Please complete the application below, but only with a solid understanding of the above.
